The Gold Medal Awardis the highest honorbestowed by the Society for Cardiovascular MagneticResonance (SCMR) andis given fordistinguished and extraordinary contributions to the field of CardiovascularMagnetic Resonance and service to the Society (view previous recipients). This awardwillbe presented by the President of the Societyon behalf of the Board of Trustees and the membership atthe 2017SCMR Annual Scientific Sessions in Washington DC.
Nominations are to besubmitted in writing by any currentmember of the SCMR*. Nominatorsshould provide a detailed letter describing the nominee’soutstanding achievements, and the nominationshould be accompanied by a current Curriculum Vitae of the nominee. At least two letters/emails of support from current SCMR members* mustaccompany the nominationmaterials, with the primary nominator responsible for the submission ofletters of support.
An individual member of SCMR can act onlyonceeach year aseither primary nominator or sponsor, i.e., an individual membercannot beprimary nominator forone nominee and sponsor foranother, oract in eithercapacity for more thanone individual each year.
