Membership Dues
Share |

After serious discussion and analysis, the SCMR Board of Trustees voted to increase the dues for regular members from $250 to $275. This is the first increase since 2012. The main reason for this decision is allow SCMR to continue to invest in expanded offerings to members and international efforts to raise awareness of CMR. Specific initiatives include:

  • Developing a new website to provide members with convenient access to learning opportunities and resources.
  • ACCME accreditation which allows SCMR to expand its current CME offerings online.
  • Sending representatives to CMR-related meetings around the world to provide education and promote the value of CMR.
  • Funding travel awards to send trainees to the Annual Scientific Sessions.
  • Supporting research through the annual Seed Grant.
  • Hiring our first CEO to develop a long term vision and strategy.
  • Investing in advocacy efforts to promote and campaign for CMR.
  • Sustaining the Global SCMR Registry.

Your dues help support these efforts. The Board of Trustees works diligently to keep SCMR fiscally responsible and to ensure that your dues provide an excellent return on your investment. We will continue to increase member benefits, providing access to CME credit, the on-line career center, and other upcoming programs at a reduced rate.  The Board also decided to maintain Trainee and Associate Member dues at the current $70 rate to facilitate participation by young people and those in economically challenged regions of the world.

Please feel free to contact SCMR, the president, Jeanette Schulz-Menger, or the CEO, Lon Simonetti, if you have any questions about the increase. Thank you for all that you do for the Society, and encourage you to get involved in an SCMR committee to help move our field forward.
