In Europe multiple organizations exist on a national and international level to represent physicians, scientists, and technologists who work in the field of CMR.

The largest European groups are the "European Working Group on Cardiovascular MR" embedded in the European Society of Cardiology and the "European Society of Cardiac Radiology", which also represents CT and other imaging modalities. The most active national groups currently is the " British Society of Cardiovascular MR".
