Late Breaking Science Session, Focusing on Patients Suspected with Ischemia
Dr. Raymond Y. Kwong presented the SPINS study at the European Society of Cardiology Congress, demonstrating stress CMR’s effectiveness in managing suspected ischemia. The study involved 2,371 patients and indicated that stress CMR can accurately diagnose and potentially reduce healthcare costs. Despite its benefits, stress CMR is underutilized in the U.S. Dr. Kwong’s presentation underscores its significance in evaluating chest pain syndromes.
SCMR Registry Trial Results to be Presented at ESC
The SCMR Registry’s first study, “The Clinical Impact of Stress CMR Perfusion Imaging in the United States (SPINS),” led by Dr. Raymond Y. Kwong, will be presented at the European Society of Cardiology Congress. It evaluates stress CMR’s prognostic value in chest pain patients in a U.S. multi-center setting. Results will be shared after the presentation, acknowledging Dr. Kwong, participating sites, and sponsors Bayer and Siemens Healthcare.
