The Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (JCMR), the official journal of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR), has achieved a significant increase in its Impact Factor, a key indicator of the influence and scientific value of the journal.
According to the 2015 ISI Journal Citation Reports, the Impact Factor for JCMR jumped to 5.752 —an increase of 21 percent over the 2014 impact factor of 4.719, and the highest Impact Factor in the journal’s history. This ranks JCMR 4th out of 124 journals in the Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Medical Imaging category. The 2015 Impact Factor reflects the frequency with which papers published in JCMR in 2013 and 2014 were cited by articles in 2015.
JCMR Editor-in-Chief, Dudley Pennell from Royal Brompton Hospital commented “the JCMR impact factor for 2015 has risen to 5.752 from the previous value of 4.72.
