The Cardiac CMR Center Münster (“Herz-MRT-Zentrum Münster”) is dedicated to high-quality cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging, and with approximately 4,000 CMR scans per year one of Germany’s biggest CMR centers. Apart from all kind of clinical CMR studies (comprising amongst others different forms of stress-CMR, multi-parametric CMR in cardiomyopathies and inflammatory/infiltrative diseases, and optimized CMR protocols for pediatric as well as adult congenital patients), research is focusing on the following topics: I) clinical application of CMR (including interventional CMR procedures such as CMR-guided atrial flutter ablation); II) pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment and treatment monitoring of inflammatory and infiltrative cardiomyopathies; III) pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of microvascular diseases and coronary vasomotility disorders.
