The Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) Unit at the apex tertiary referral centre for India- All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to advanced cardiac imaging. Equipped with cutting-edge MRI technology, the unit specializes in comprehensive cardiac assessments, including ischemia, viability, cardiomyopathy and transplant imaging, thalassemia, pediatric and congenital CMR as well as vascular imaging. It is equipped with state of the art sequences for parametric mapping, CMR in CIEDs (with support from UCL, London and Prof Peter Kellman), motion corrected sequences and advanced CV post processing tools for 4D flow as well as strain analysis. The is one of the very few dedicated cardiac imaging training and research centres in India providing accurate diagnostics and personalized care for patients with cardiovascular diseases, contributing significantly to research, education, and clinical excellence in cardiac imaging.
