Leeds has been active in academic and clinical CMR for over 25 years. Our service is based around three dedicated cardiac MRI scanners based in Leeds Teaching Hospitals and a small animal MRI scanner at the University of Leeds. We offer a tertiary clinical CMR service for Leeds and the region of West Yorkshire with currently ca. 3,000 adult and 1,000 congenital (both paediatric and adult) CMR scans including stress imaging, scanning of patients with implanted devices, fetal CMR, neonatal CMR, 4D Flow CMR, exercise CMR and all other common acquired and congenital applications. Via the University of Leeds, we have a large research group active across a wide range of research areas including technical development such as 4D flow, MR Spectroscopy, DTI, fetal CMR and clinical applications in congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, valve disease and many more. We welcome clinical training and research fellows and typically have at least two international fellows on site along with our local and national trainees and fellows.
