Rady Children’s has a child-friendly, state-of-the-art MRI machine for performing cardiac MRIs, which is housed at the Rady Children’s Hospital Acute Care Pavilion. We use to Nordic NeuroLab system to enable kids to watch a movie or listen to music of their choice during a MRI exam. Rady Children’s is the only hospital in San Diego with this innovative technology. Our highly trained staff are aware of the anxieties that may come with getting an MRI performed, and prepared to answer questions and help children through a successful exam.
Our imaging team is led by Sanjeet Hegde MD PhD, as the medical director. Beth Printz, MD PhD, Hari Narayan, MD MSCE, and Eleanor Lehnert Schuchardt, M.D., are our cardiac MRI specialists.
