ICRC with its Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) team is one of the biggest CMR centers in the Czech Republic. Using a 1,5T Phillips Ingenia and 3T Siemens we offer a wide range of techniques including: parametric mapping, stress perfusion, viability, phase contrast and more. In postprocessing we use CVI-42, TomTec Arena, Phillips IntelliSpace Portal and more. In research we focus on development of new protocols of heart imaging and identifying novel imaging biomarkers for the prediction of early myocardial dysfunction with the main purpose to improve the noninvasive diagnostics of early forms of myocardial diseases contributing especially to heart failure. Our main topics are: 1) chronic heart failure, 2) coronary artery disease and 3) cardiomyopathies. More specifically: Duschenne Muschular Dystrophy, amyloidosis, identifying signs of rejection in patients after a heart transplant and pulmonary circulation parameters. Our team also participate in both national grant projects including patients after COVID-19 and oncoheart programme with cardio-oncology patients, and international grant projects developing AI for cardiology patients. Additionally, we also take part in clinical studies, namely: iMODERN, Odyssey, Memento and Lelantos-1.
