2017 Journal Impact Factor Released

The 2017 journal impact factors were released last week and the Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (JCMR), the official journal of the SCMR, maintained an outstanding impact factor of 5.457. The 2017 Impact Factor reflects the frequency with which papers published in JCMR in 2015 and 2016 were cited by articles in 2017. This key indicator demonstrates the influence and scientific value of the journal.

According to the 2017 InCites Journal Citation Reports, JCMR is ranked 12th out of 128 journals in the Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Medical Imaging category (Rank 7/126 in 5-year impact factor), and 21st among 128 journals in the Cardiac and Cardiovascular Systems category (Rank 15/126 in 5-year impact factor).  Importantly, the total number of citations of JCMR articles was up from 4,349 citations in 2016 to 4,918 in 2017, and the 5-year impact factor increased to reach a new high of 6.307 this year.

The outstanding Impact Factor reflects the high scientific and clinical value of the papers published in JCMR. Congratulations to all of those who helped contribute to the success of the journal!
