2019 SCMR Gold Medal Award is now open for nominations

The Gold Medal Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) and is given for distinguished and extraordinary service to the field of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and to the Society. The award will be presented by the President of the Society on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the membership at the 22nd Annual Scientific Sessions.

Nominations are to be submitted in writing by any current member of the SCMR*. Nominators should provide the nominee’s qualifications for the award, and the nomination should be accompanied by a current Curriculum Vitae of the nominee. At least two letters/emails of support from current SCMR members* must accompany the nomination materials, with the primary nominator responsible for the submission of letters of support.

An individual member of SCMR can act only once each year as either primary nominator or sponsor.  For example, an individual member cannot be primary nominator for one nominee and sponsor for another.

Letters of nomination and sponsorship should be sent to SCMR Headquarters (hq@scmr.org) by October 30th at 11:59 AM EDT.

* Current elected officers and members of the Board of Trustees, and members of the SCMR Gold Medal Award Committee are ineligible for the Gold Medal nomination, and also may not nominate or provide letters of support for Gold Medal Award nominees.
