SCMR Committees meet a minimum of twice a year: In person at the Annual Scientific Sessions, and at least one teleconference throughout the year.
Diversity and Inclusion are important to SCMR’s strategic vision and critical to our society’s core values. SCMR is a global society, and strongly encourages applicants to committees from diverse backgrounds, subspecialties, practice settings, and career stages. As we seek to build and cultivate a diverse pipeline of future leaders with complementary skills and talents, participation in SCMR’s committees is crucial and enhancing diversity in the society is a top priority.
Committee rosters are reviewed once a year in preparation for new committee member selections. The term for serving as a committee member is two years, and respectively begins during the Annual Scientific Sessions.
Volunteers can apply for committees each Fall, and will be selected to start at the following SCMR annual meeting.

To coordinate all Committee and Task Force activity, review motions prior to their submission to the Board, and to act in the absence of the Board on matters of urgency.
