The primary goal of the SCMR leadership academy is to prepare the SCMR members pursuing leadership opportunities in the field of cardiovascular magnetic resonance. SCMR is proud to support the growth and development of its members and believes that this Leadership development program will strengthen the pipeline of future leaders in the field of cardiovascular magnetic resonance.
1. Develop leadership skills of the participants by providing curriculum reviewed by a Wharton based award winning executive educator. The curriculum will specifically focus on strategic thinking, collaboration and team building. Two virtual sessions will be provided by the executive educator.
2. Equip the participants with structure and function of the SCMR as the leading CMR organization in the world. The participants will have ample opportunities to network with SCMR leaders and will be provided potential opportunities to grow within the society at the end of the two years.
3. Participants will be paired with an SCMR mentor who will provide guidance throughout the program. In the second year, the participants will complete a capstone project designed based on societal need and focused on societal growth and vision.
