This webinar is a two-part, virtual educational refresher course designed to provide a practical overview of myocardial T1 and T2 mapping techniques, including the MR physics underlying spin relaxation, pulse sequence design, image acquisition tips and pitfalls, image analysis methods in clinical reporting. The clinical applications of parametric mapping include advanced myocardial tissue characterization for assessing for acute myocardial injury, edema, inflammation and fibrosis in heart failure, left ventricular hypertrophy, suspected cardiomyopathy, cardiac amyloidosis, myocarditis and iron overload. In the US, billing codes for parametric mapping are now available - practices should confirm that quantitative analysis is performed, CPT requirements are met, and a distinct interpretation of mapping results is clearly documented.

This course is a one-day, fully virtual educational initiative designed to provide a comprehensive and practical overview of extracardiac findings encountered during cardiac imaging. While cardiac-focused studies are primarily aimed at evaluating cardiovascular structures, a wide range of incidental extracardiac findings may have significant clinical implications. This course aims to systematically address these findings, emphasizing recognition, interpretation, reporting, and appropriate clinical management.
