Course Description: The course will be ideal for radiographers and fellows in radiology or pediatric cardiology, as well as established congenital heart disease specialists. The aim of this course is to give a firm foundation in congenital heart disease MRI and provide training up to SCMR level 1 accreditation. The attendee can expect practical clinical teaching so that they can directly implement the training into their clinical practice. It is particularly relevant for congenital heart disease trainees wishing to complete their core imaging skills and for those wishing to start a career in cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging. Radiographers will find this particularly helpful in terms of practical image acquisition and fundamental anatomical details for imaging. Established professionals will find this helpful to increase their knowledge with an emphasis on clinical application. Finally, the session will end with comprehensive case-based teaching, planning and assessment to ensure the attendee has a firm understanding of the fundamentals of cardiovascular imaging for congenital heart disease. It will also cover basics required for general cardiac MRI training up to SCMR level 1 accreditation.
